For decades, Mountain Day has been the can't-miss fall event in downtown Buena Vista. Everyone comes out to celebrate local crafts, history, arts, music by your neighbors, and good food. Today, Mountain Day is presented by the Buena Vista Arts Council and Main Street Buena Vista.

Buena Vista Arts Council (BVAC)
The BVAC was founded in 2013 to support the arts and creativity in Buena Vista for everyone. Today they offer arts classes, a theater company, the Artapalooza children's art festival, and other programs and events.

Main Street Buena Vista (MSBV)
MSBV was established in 2022 as a public/private partnership of citizens, businesses, and local organizations with the goal of growing and promoting all of the amazing progress in downtown Buena Vista.

Rockbridge Regional Tourism is the official Destination Marketing Organization for Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County, Virginia. Our current campaign of “Small Towns, Big Backyard” invites visitors to explore the historic villages, towns, and cities of Rockbridge County as well as enjoy abundant outdoor adventure through mountain and river explorations. Regional initiatives include Rockbridge Outdoors, Upper James River Water Trail, Shenandoah Beerwerks Trail, and Lexington/Buena Vista/Rockbridge VA250.
